Is there a reliable online translator from English to Spanish for business correspondence?

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 03:20 PM PST

I need to write a letter to a potential client, but he speaks Spanish much better than English. I’m afraid that may be why he didn’t purchase what I’m offering to begin with- he may not have understood everything I was offering. I have Spanish materials to send him, but I really want to write a letter to go with it. I’m afraid of using an online translator for fear that it will be choppy and come out badly. Any advice?

If you are a business owner and you need help with your business, what would you search for online? Would you use Google or another search engine?

Online college for business management–OR–work experience as manager?

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 11:19 AM PST

Which one is better??
I would like to become a manager at my current job (fast food) and then have that on my resume for a while and eventually build myself up for a bigger business. But am i wasting my time with just working as a manager at fast food..does that experience even count?
OR…should i be starting some online classes for business management??
I have no time to go to college, literally, that is why i am only thinking of online colleges. I was researching University of Pheonix actually. It seems like a good school.

I’m looking for ANY kind of tips on how to started an online business that does promoting?

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 11:19 AM PST

Hey business gurus (hopefully at least one of you is), I’m thinking of starting an online business that would be involved with promoting other people’s businesses/ideas/events.

I am 18 years old and currently in high school. I’m only looking to use this as a way to potentially have a source of extra revenue.

If you have any tips on how to start an online promoting business or have done so yourself, I’d greatly appreciate any information you could provide.

Even if you have some kind of experience involving either online businesses of any kind -or- promoting of any kind, get me up to speed!
Thanks!
Sorry, the title should state “how to start.”

Job and business opportunity on the internet?

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 10:21 AM PST

If there were actual jobs online- if there were everyone would be doing them.

There are Business Opportunities – there are the ones that are scams – however NOT ALL of them, even the ones you have to pay money to do. What you have to understand is this is an opportunity for you to be your own boss, set your own hours with VERY little overhead. No building to lease (you do it from home) no employees to pay, no insurance to pay etc. So if you can find a legite opportunity paying a start up cost / monthly fee is a far cry from a ,000 (very low end) and up investment to own your own company outside the home based opportunities. Do you people who think if you have to pay for home based opportunities they are a scam think that buying a “traditional” business is a scam – guess what you have to pay a whole lot of money for that and it does not come with guarantee that it is going to be a success unless you WORK IT!!!

Thanks for letting me vent – I just get a little upset at the “dreamstealers” who are so quick to say “if you have to pay anything run it is a scam” May I ask how do you like working your 40 hrs for 40 years making your “boss” wealthy? I did not so I invested to start and a month to make my own dreams come true! Oh yes, it is working out fantastic for me. I walked in and fired by “boss” just 3 weeks ago and I am not making him wealthy anymore I am doing that for me.

If you want to check out an opportunity that is working for over 70,000 homeworkers with a very small investment into your future http://www.behomeforkids.com

Please can you help me with this essay?

I want to sell an Internet service business that does well. I need help with the place to sell it.?

The business is successful and has been around for 11 years. It’s an internet business and it’s time for me to move. Any recommendations as to where I can sell the business? Anyone can buy this business from anywhere in the United States.

Has anyone sold an online business on the internet (minus eBay). I’d like a trustworthy site to sell to.

Developing an online business idea/prototype?

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 07:23 AM PST

I have an online software business idea and am in the process of developing a business plan and prototype. I have 2 questions…

1) What do I need to do to protect myself from having the idea stolen? And, what kind of legal forms should I get people to sign if I will be working with them? I’d like to work with like-minded people to finesse the business plan, but don’t want them walking away with the idea or stealing it.

2) Once I have my business plan and prototype, what would be the next steps to find funding for the project and seek investors?

Many thanks! :)
Jim, I don’t think I will have any problems meeting venture capitalists. However, what type of materials do I show them? Would I just show them a powerpoint presentation, a demo, or just talk it through? Thanks!
