I am starting an online service to match those in need of residential services with the contractors who actually do the work. The service is free for the homeowners in need of service, and the leads that go to the contractors are charged at 5-10 dollars per lead. The website consist of a form where the user enters personal information about their home and their project requirements. I do have an SSL certificate in place on my server to protect peoples’ personal information.

What legal documentation is necessary for a business like the one described above?

I was wondering of how do people search online for a business? Do they use search engines as Google or Yahoo? Or they go directly to Yellow pages online and Super Pages?

I am thinking about starting an online membership website, and before I do I need to figure out the expense side of the business model. At what “landmarks” should I buy servers? For example, at 1000 members? Is there a member to server ratio, like 1 server per 1000 members? Or are there different types of servers. Also, how much do servers cost?

I am starting an online business and I would like a list of ideas and related information and links on how to inexpensively advertise and get the most bang for my buck. If you could include ideas on how to advertise to USA, Canada, UK and Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia since it will service those countries. In this case web advertising would probably be the best idea. P.S. If you could include a range price estimates on Google Adsense and Google’s “Sponsored Links” section and SEO to get organic placement on Google for free.

It kills me to write this question…but I’m holding a heavy heart and am very conflicted inside…my boyfriend is aware of this, for the most part because we’ve spoken about it several times this week but my feelings grow more and more distant every day, which is something I’ve not told him yet because has been very sudden for me so a part of me is hoping that this sudden change of heart will subside in a couple weeks or so…. I feel like I have a lot of thinking to do and that we just need to stop talking about this so much and enjoy the relationship to see if these feelings remain or dissipate.

Basically, I’m 23 and starting medical school in 2011. My boyfriend is 28, taking online courses in business. We’ve dated for over 2 1/2 years during which we’ve held a profound friendship, supported each other and still have a lot of carefree fun with each other–it’s been wonderful. Problem? I feel like I’m moving forward in my life and am afraid that he is not moving at the same pace as I am. We’ve discussed what his career goals are and he’s very receptive to such discussions which is why I’m hoping that my feelings will subside once I see that he’s starting to build a resume, etc, and move forward in his life. It’s just that, for the time that I’ve known him, he has not had much direction in his life at all, which can be very difficult for anyone to cope with. Without direction, it’s easy to get caught up in mundane, draining and directionless projects. He’s been very frustrated about some of the projects he’s undertaken because many of them were frustrating and a waste of time.

I originally started feeling disconnected from him when I realized that he’s been this way the whole time I’ve known him and that he did not have any plans in mind to help him get out of this rut. Since we’ve discussed these things and pointed this problem out, his wheels have been turning, but for some reason I don’t feel like it’s enough…I’m not satisfied…and quite frankly, while I’m hoping that actually SEEING him pursue a plan of action will change the way I feel, a part of me really thinks that we’ve just outgrown each other and that I’m looking for something more than what he can give me.I’m torn; I’m confused.

What do you think about the situation?
