Posted: 02 Feb 2011 03:21 PM PST I work in a world’s leading manufacturing company and all i have learnt is that voice of customer and ease of use of the services for the customer are two driving force of any successful organization. That being said, Stamps.com fails in both these aspects when it comes to closing the account. I wanted to try out stamps.com account with the free 4 weeks trial to see if it is useful for me. After 4 weeks I found out that its not useful for me so I tried looking for a link to cancel the account. To my surprise, there is a way to create the account online but no way to cancel it! Since these guys do business online I am pretty sure that they can ask the IT team to create the link for cancelling the account online, but they dont. After researching on google I got to know that I have to call in to cancel the account. So I called in before 4 weeks and the customer care wanted me to extend the free trial. I told that I do not want to have the free trial but she still talked me into having the account open for one more month. So I did (even though i knew I will again not use it for another month and I told her about it). Now I did not use it again and just before 4 weeks i called in again to cancel the account and customer care again talked me into extending the free trial for another month for free. I told her that i will not be using it again but she still insisted on it. I had to give up and she let the account open. Now i totally forgot about this i did not use your service again for two consecutive months and this time I forgot to call in to cancel it and I was automatically charged for the 2*9.99 amount. ??? I called in when I saw the email to the charge on the credit card, and their customer care said I was registered for the service so i was charged!!! And they will not take it off. When I insisted on talking to his boss, he himself talked to his boss and said he took it off and closed my account. But an hour later I recieved an email that i still have a 10 bucks payment pending!!! Which means that they took off only one month payment. I am so pissed. I do not want to talk to them again… |

| Trademark registration for a business? Posted: 02 Feb 2011 01:23 PM PST I am planning on starting an online business with its own website that sells t-shirts.The name of my business will be on the shirt along with a design (like Ed Hardy for example). I have already searched in the governments site to see if my business name is taken and it is not.THE QUESTION IS: Do i have to actually make the product and sell it before applying for a registration or can i do it before actually starting the business. What will happen if i do get the trademark and i end up not starting the business???? |

I will pay for the hosting, domain and all other expenses that I need to have inorder for it to work properly, I want my sites to show on search engines like Google, Yahoo etc. I want to give this contract to a professional that knows what they are doing.
