Posted: 19 Jun 2011 02:19 PM PDT More specifically, if the package costs .04 to ship (using the online UPS calculator), do they generally charge only the .04 or use a slightly higher amount at their discretion and pocket the difference? Prices I pay seem to be higher than they should for a lot of things. Would this be considered ethical, like a tip, or what is the accepted approach?

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 11:20 AM PDT Have you even had a case where you filed for EDD online and it never went through even if you have a confirmation number? I applied on June 1, 2009 online for my EDD after I was terminated from my company. 4 days later, I tried calling their ever so busy hotline. There was even a message telling me that speaking to an operator before the 10 business days upon filing will cause DELAY in my claim. So I waited. On the 10th day, and after panicking because the automated check your SSN service told me there was still no claim filed; I was able to speak to an operator who was a bit rude asking for my W2 forms from 2008, which I d not have as of the moment. Plus I told her, that I have filed for EDD before and it NEVER asked me those other questions about my W2 ever. Finally she re-filed the claim for me. I asked her for a confirmation number and she told me that I dont need any. I used the California E-Apply4 U system provided in the California EDD Website I was able to finally speak to an operator telling me there was no record of me ever filing even though i did online

They bought a license and everything, and just deal a little bit online. I too would like to start a business. Something cheap, easy, and simple.
