Posted: 02 Dec 2010 01:28 PM PST Hello, We are two 25 year old adults who wish to start an online business. We were thinking of building our own computers and selling them at much lower prices than offered at big computer manufacturers (ie Dell, HP, Gateway, etc). We are struggling on starting and becoming known. How can we assure customers to trust us online and how can we get our name out there? Can someone who has gone through a similar experience give us some advice? Thanks |

Posted: 02 Dec 2010 11:24 AM PST Can you recommend any great companies I could use to obtain a merchant account? What is the criteria companies use to issue or deny a merchant account to online stores? Thank you. |
What legal processes do I have to go through to start my online business? Posted: 02 Dec 2010 11:24 AM PST I am starting my own online business. It is small, it will be run out of my house (in Los Angeles, CA), I will be the only person involved and I will be selling art pieces that I create myself. I have researched many websites including the tax franchise board, the IRS, the Small Business Association, but I find them all so overwhelming and confusing. Do I have to charge sales tax? Do I need a Federal Tax ID? Do I need a State Tax ID? Do I need a California Seller’s Permit? I can’t seem to find a place that narrows down the start-up requirements. Thanks! |
What’s the best way to build an online business? Posted: 02 Dec 2010 10:23 AM PST I’ve discovered a way to get the most out of my time and money with Mike Dillard’s program. Are there any others that are available with the same cost effective ways to making money on the net? Marcus http://power7.magneticsponsoring.com |
Is this a good online business idea? Posted: 02 Dec 2010 09:21 AM PST I want to make six or more figures online. My online business idea is to drop ship office chairs and sell them on my website. Do you think this online business idea could make me six or more figures online? There are a couple sites already that do the same thing, but a little competition won’t hurt them . So what do you think? |
Would you pay for IT or Business advice online? Posted: 02 Dec 2010 07:39 AM PST I’m doing a survey to understand what type of advice people would pay for online? Essentially my view point is that everything is free online, but equally – there’s another view that some advice is only worth something when its paid for? Would you pay for advisory online? |
Posted: 02 Dec 2010 07:30 AM PST I am looking for a resource such as “10 things to know before you buy a small business” or things to know about running a small business, etc. Preferrably online, but hard copy would be fine also. Does anyone know where I might find such a resource? Kind of something similar to “Owning a small business for Dummies” |
