Refreshing dulu setelah kemarin seharian urus pergantian template blog ini. bahkan pulang sampe tengah malam dan lupa makan. Templatenya sendiri diganti lantaran ada banyak tampilan blog yang tidak sesuai karena keseringan bereksperimen. Format blog kali ini tidak jauh berbeda dengan yang kemarin tapi dari pembuat yang berbeda. Kali ini ada ada bagian yang ditambahkan yaitu toolbar yang mirip mirip di Facebook. bisa dicoba di bawah. Kalau mau chating bisa langsung saja diarahkan kursornya ke chat box. Dan juga ditambahkan beberapa link dan navigasi blog untuk loncat keatas, kebawah dan seterusnya. silakan coba.

Kembali ke pokok utama. Coba cari bola yang asli...! Gambar ini saya temukan kembali ketika melihat profil facebook teman yang punya gambar di bawah. Gambar ini diambil beberapa tahun kemarin ketika ada kejuaran footsal antar jurusan di Unhas.

Entah ini kebetulan atau memang momennya yang pas. Waktu itu dengan sedikit ilmu Photoshop, gambarnya saya diberi sedikit efek. Bolanya ditambah dengan beberapa komentar. Yang jelas ekspersinya saya tidak manipulasi.

Cegah korupsi dengan uang pecahan baru

Siapa yang tidak kenal dengan KPK (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi). Lembaga ini sangat ditakuti oleh para koruptor hingga banyak cara untuk memandulkannya. Baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Tentu teman-teman sudah bisa mencium cara-cara mereka. Dan tanggal 10 Juli 2009 kemarin Bank Indonesia sudah merilis uang pecahan baru Rp 2.000,- berwarna abu-abu.. Lalu apa hubungan keduanya?

Kalau dicermati ada kesamaan antara KPK dengan uang baru tersebut. Kalau di KPK diketuai oleh Antasari Azhar yang sekarang sudah non aktif karena terkena skandal dan di uang Rp 2.000,- itu ada gambar pahlawan nasional dari Banjarmasin yang bernama Pangeran Antasari. Entah ini kebetulan atau disengaja ada kemiripan nama dan KUMIS.

Siapa yang tidak kenal dengan Antasari Azhar? Ditakuti oleh para koruptor hingga akhirnya kesangarannya hilang karena mendekam di penjara gara-gara isunya soal wanita yang bernama Rani Juliani. Seandainya dia tidak dipenjara mungkin pemberantasan korupsi tidak akan mandek seperti ini dan mungkin mencegah korupsi dengan uang pecahan baru ini bisa lebih optimal. Seperti program pencegahan lainnya. Mungkin dulu ada kerjasama antara KPK dengan BI.

Orang-orang bakalan takut korupsi.

Jangan korupsi uang ini, nanti kamu ditangkap sama KPK. Tuh… ada Antasari lagi ngawasin. Kamu tidak takut sama kumisnya?

Biarpun nominalnya tidak besar tapi ini bisa mencegah para koruptor pemula. Karena uang seperti ini biasanya banyak beredar di para pelajar dan orang-orang kecil. Tapi kalau untuk koruptor kelas kakap sepertinya harus dikeluarkan uang pecahan baru. Ada yang mengatakan keluarkan saja uang Rp 200.000,- yang bergambar Pulau Nusa Kambangan. Biar mereka takut masuk di sana.

Apakah ini cara pencegahan korupsi yang sangat ampuh? Jawabannya YA. Mau tahu kenapa pemalsuan uang sekarang ini sangat marak dibandingkan dulu? Bukan teknologinya yang mendukung. Jawabannya adalah uang pecahan sekarang sudah tidak ada lagi dicantumkan hukuman bagi para pembuat dan pengedarnya. "Barang siapa yang …..". Coba kamu periksa. Seandainya di setiap pecahan uang ada tulisan " Tidak untuk diKorupsi".

Kenapa sekarang ini marak kasus mutilasi? Jawabannya ada di uang kertas pecahan Rp 1.000,-. Bagaimana meningkatkan pariwisata Indonesia? Jawabannya ada di uang pecahan Rp 50.000,-. Cara kampanye capres yang paling efektif? Lihat uang pecahan Rp 100.000,-. Kenapa uang kertas pecahan Rp 500,- ditarik? Itu karena banyak yang tersinggung. Kamu tersinggung?

Paling tidak, cara ini satu langkah lebih maju dibandingkan peringatan bahaya merokok yang ada di setiap bungkus rokok. Walaupun masih banyak yang merokok. Dan di beberapa negara peringatan bahaya merokok tidak lagi menggunakan tulisan tapi dengan gambar korban merokok. Indonesia Kapan?

Pelari vs kura-kura, siapa yang menang?

Ini adalah pertanyaan lama yang selama ribuan tahun tidak bisa dipecahkan. Baru beberapa abad ini para ilmuan baru bisa menjelaskannya. Jangan samakan ini dengan cerita si Kelinci yang malas dan bodoh yang beradu lari dengan (para) kura-kura yang cerdas, cerdik, licik dan picik. Jangan anggap ini pertanyaan lelucon atau akal-akalan. Harus dijawab dengan pendekatan ilmiah.

Tentunya perlu diketahui syarat dan ketentuannya. Pertama, soal kecepatannya. Si pelari punya kecepatan lari sama dengan orang biasa (normal, sehat) lainnya. Dan si Kura-kura juga sama dengan kura-kura pada umumnya. Yang kedua, keduanya lari pada satu garis yang sama. Dan yang terakhir, karena si Pelari larinya lebih cepat maka si Kura-kura dibiarkan 100 meter di depan. Dan ketika peluit dibunyikan keduanya lari bersamaan ke arah dan satu garis yang sama. Tidak ada yang curang. Pertanyaannya adalah, bisakah si Pelari melewati si Kura-kura? Jawabannya tidak akan pernah bisa. Ingat, ini bukan pertanyaan biasa!

Mungkin teman-teman tidak habis pikir kenapa bisa begitu. Padahal si Pelari lebih cepat biarpun si Kura-kura ada 100 meter di depan. Penjelasannya sangat sederhana. Jika si Pelari sudah maju 100 meter ke depan (titik awal si kura-kura), apakah dia sudah melewati si Kura-kura? Jawabannya tidak. Kerena si Kura-kura juga ikut lari. Dan dia sudah berada 10 meter di depan si Pelari. Kalau si Pelari maju 10 meter lagi maka si Kura-kura sudah ada 1 meter di depannya. Jika si Pelari maju 1 meter lagi maka si Kura-kura juga sudah ada 0.1 meter di depannya. Begitu seterusnya. Pelari tidak akan pernah bisa melampaui si Kura-kura. Hanya dapat mendekati. Selalu ada jarak di antara mereka.

Contoh kasus di atas banyak kita temukan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Misalnya kejar mengejar antara jarum jam dan jarum menit. Termasuk dalam urusan mengejar cewek/cowok.

Dari pertanyaan itulah yang melandasi teori limit dalam matematika. Ada soal matematika, 1 dibagi x atau (1/x). Kalau nilai x diganti dengan 0 maka hasilnya pasti error. Tapi dengan pendekatan limit, soal itu bisa dijawab. Limit x menuju 0 (Lim x->0)(1/x). Artinya ada angka yang mendekati nol. Nilanya bisa 0,01 atau 0.00000001 yang jelas bukan atau tidak sama dengan nol.

Sama halnya dengan 1 + 1, sesungguhnya hasilnya tidak tepat =2. Tapi dengan tingkat kepercayaan dan toleransi tertentu kita bisa menerima hasilnya sebagai 2.

Dari kisah pelari tersebut kita bisa ambil hikmah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari bahwa manusia tidak pernah akan puas dengan apa yang mereka telah raih. Ketika sudah sampai pada puncaknya kita pasti akan terus mencari yang lebih.

Begitu juga ketika kita mengejar sebuah impian. Buatlah setinggi-tingginya karena jika kita mematoknya seperti itu maka kita tidak akan pernah melampauinya. Stop Dreaming Start Action.

Sejarah Presiden Indonesia Terulang

Orang mengatakan bahwa sejarah sering terulang. Itulah yang terjadi dengan sejarah presiden Republik Indonesia. Bukan sekedar kondisi namun situasi, suasana dan juga sifat-sifat orang yang terlibat di dalamnya yang sama.

Kita semua tahu bahwa capres kita yang bertarung saat ini , Megawati, SBY dan Jusuf Kalla, adalah orang-orang yang terbaik yang dimiliki bangsa Indonesia. Para calon kita ini ternyata punya banyak kesamaan dengan para presiden pendahulunya. Situasi, kondisi, suasana dan sifat-sifatnya juga sama. Nomor urutnya pun mengindikasikan jejak sejarah itu.

1. Megawati Sukarno Putri
Presiden wanita pertama RI yang mempunyai kharisma yang kuat, tegas, semangat dan pemberani sama seperti ayahnya Ir. Sukarno, presiden pertama Indonesia. Keduanya adalah peletak pondasi negara di masanya. Sukarno pada masa awal kemerdekaan sedangkan Megawati pada masa awal reformasi.

2. Susilo Bambang Yudoyono
Presiden yang menggantikan Megawati melalui Pemilu Presiden pertama di Indonesia. Seorang militer dengan prestasi cemerlang sama seperti Presiden Suharto. Keduanya memiliki sifat yang sama: tegas, berwibawa dan pembawaan tenang. Sama-sama orang kepercayaan presiden sebelumnya dan kemudian menggantikannya dengan perasaan 'tidak enak'.

3. Jusuf Kalla
Memang Pak JK belum jadi presiden. Tapi banyak kesamaan dengan Presiden Indonesia ketiga yaitu Habibie yang menggantikan Suharto. Sama-sama orang luar Jawa (Sulawesi Selatan). Orangnya tegas dan spontan dalam bicara namun terukur. Orang kepercayaan presiden yang kemudian menjadi wakilnya. Hadir menjadi solusi di tengah krisis ekonomi dunia. Habibie di jilid pertama dan JK di jilid kedua.

Apakah ini sudah suratan atautakdir? Yang jelas sejarah sudah kita lihat dan sekarang kita rasakan. Kemudian waktunya untuk mewujudkannya. Kinilah saatnya. Stop Dreaming Start Action.

Tentukan nilai n

Secara matematika, ada beberapa hal unik dari angka 666 :

* merupakan angka palindrom (simetris): 666
* Merupakan penjumlahan dari 62=36 angka pertama yakni 1+2+3+4..….+35+36 =666
* Total bilangan prima hingga 666 berjumlah 121 bilangan yang merupakan kuadrat dari 11.
* 6=(32) − (22) + 1
* 66=(34) − (24) + 1
* 666=(36) − (26) + 1
* Total dari jumlah 7 bilangan kuadrat prima pertama yakni : 22 + 32 + 52 + 72 + 112 + 132 + 172 = 666
* Dalam angka Romawi, 666 direpresentasikan sebagai DCLXVI (D = 500, C = 100, L = 50, X = 10, V = 5, I = 1). DIC LVX merupaan representasi dari dicit lux. Dicit lux kemudian dikenal sebagai suara cahaya yang diidentikan dengan angka setan.

Bagaimana dengan angka 9, ternyata rahasia angka sembilan begitu banyak, berikut jabarannya.

Cobalah cari hasil dari 63 x 99.

Bagaimanakah cara kita menyelesaikannya?

Salah satu cara untuk menghitung 63 x 99 adalah dengan perkalian bersusun. Tetapi, ada cara lain untuk menghitung hasil kali kedua bilangan tersebut, yaitu sebagai berikut :

Karena 99 = 100 - 1,

Maka 63 x 99 = 63 ( 100 - 1 )
= 63. 100 - 63. 1
= 6300 - 63
= 6237

Untuk mengalikan 999 x 27 dapat diselesaikan seperti berikut :

Karena 999 = 1000 - 1
Maka 999 x 27 = (1000 - 1) x 27
= 2700 - 27
= 26.973

Selanjutnya bagaimanakah dengan hasil dari misalnya 52 x 999 ? Cobalah kerjakan dengan teknik seperti tadi.
Apabila keterangan, contoh dan soal di atas telah dipahami, selanjutnya kita akan mengeksploitasi keunikan angka 9 lainnya.

Pada pembagian bilangan bulat oleh angka 9, ada hal-hal yang sangat unik. Mari kita perhatikan contohnya.

Contoh 1 :

Jika 12 dibagi oleh 9, maka hasilnya adalah 1 dan sisanya 3.

Jika angka-angka pada 12, yaitu 1 dan 2 dijumlahkan maka hasilnya 1 + 2 = 3 (sisa pembagian oleh 9).

Contoh 2 :

Jika 78 dibagi oleh 9, maka hasilnya adalah 8 dan sisanya adalah 6.

Jika angka-angka pada 78, yaitu 7 dan 8 dijumlahkan maka hasilnya 7 + 8 = 15. Selanjutnya jika angka-angka pada 15, yaitu 1 dan 5 dijumlahkan maka hasilnya 1 + 5 = 6 (sisa pembagian oleh 9).

Contoh 3 :

Jika 878 dibagi oleh 9, maka hasilnya adalah 97 dan sisanya adalah 5.

Jika angka-angka pada 878, yaitu 8, 7 dan 8 dijumlahkan maka hasilnya 8 + 7 + 8 = 23. Selanjutnya jika angka-angka pada 23, yaitu 2 dan 3 dijumlahkan maka hasilnya 2 + 3 = 5 (sisa pembagian oleh 9).

Dari contoh-contoh di atas dapat disimpulkan " Setiap bilangan bulat yang dibagi oleh 9, maka sisanya adalah jumlah berulang dari angka-angka yang terdapat pada bilangan yang dibagi itu sampai memperoleh sebuah bilangan 0 sampai 8 ".

Sifat lain yang mempesona dari angka 9 dapat dilihat dari hasil kali bilangan 12345679 dengan 9 buah bilangan asli kelipatan 9 yang pertama sebagai berikut :

Hitung-hitung Himatika

Kalo diitung-itung, sekarang (2008, red), Himatika telah berumur 25 tahun. Artinya sudah seperempat abad lamanya. Kalau diukur dari umur manusia dia sudah bukan anak kecil lagi atau pun disebut remaja atau abg. Namun bukan umur yang membuatnya dewasa namun orang yang merawatnya.

Kalo diitung-itung, umurku belum sampai disitu. Tapi kalo sampe dan belum juga selesai kuliah maka bersiaplah untuk angkat kaki dari sini (Unhas, bukan Himatika, red)

Kalo diitung-itung, dia sebaya denganku. Terpaut sekitar dua atau tiga tahun. Kita bisa menjadi sahabat sejati. Saling menjaga, saling mencurahkan isi hati, berbagi antara senang dan sedih.

Kalo diitung-itung, Himatika lahir tahun 1983. Artinya yang lahir setelah itu paling tidak angkatan 2002 dan seterusnya harus menyebutnya kakak. Kalo begitu dia harus menjadi penengah bagi adik dan kakaknya donk..!

Kalo diitung-itung, Himatika punya dua anak. Anak kedua lahir setelah dua belas tahun anak pertama lahir. Rencananya tahun depan adik baru mau lahir. Doakan ya.. semoga selamat! Adik Kakak jangan beramtem ya..!

Setelah sebelumnya kita bermain-main dengan penjumlahan 1 + 1. Kali ini juga sama tapi ada bendanya. Sebelumnya satu persoalan dengan banyak jawaban. Tapi sekarang dibalik, satu jawaban dengan banyak persoalan.

4 = 2 + 2;
4 = 2 x 2;
4 = 2^2;

Untuk perhitungan matematika di atas saya kira tidak perlu dipermasalahkan kebenarannya. Tapi ada hal unik di sini. Kita hanya melihat dua buah angka yaitu 4 dan 2. Jik angka 2 dijumlah, dikali dan dipangkatkan dengan dirinya sendiri hasilnya adalah sama yaitu 4 .

Berhenti berhitung. Ada pelajaran penting yang bisa kita petik dari persoalan tersebut. Jika sebelumnya persoalan 1 + 1 yang berfokus pada pertanyaannya. Kali ini, jawabannya yang menjadi fokus kita.

Jika kita melihat hasil. Maka hasilnya tidak akan berubah. Siapa yang menanam angin dia pasti menuai badai. Kita tidak bisa kembali ke masa lalu untuk mengubahnya. Sama seperti yang terjadi dengan para capres (calon presiden) kita saat ini. Saling klaim keberhasilan dan saling menuding kesalahan. Hasilnya sudah seperti ini, inilah Indonesia dengan segala kebaikan dan keburukannya. Sama seperti persoalan matematika di atas, semua capres kita sebenarnya berada pada satu persamaan. Mereka pernah bekerja bersama hingga akhirnya (Indonesia) seperti ini. Tapi yang membedakannya adalah bagaimana hubungan itu dimaknai. Apakah dikali, ditambah atau dipangkatkan.

Juga sama seperti yang terjadi dengan program The Master yang penuh kontrovesial itu. Kita hanya melihat hasilnya. Tebakannya benar, bisa menghilang, bisa muncul begitu saja dan lain sebagainya. Ada yang coba menebak apa yang sebenarnya terjadi. Ada yang melihatnya begitu sederhana seperti sebuah penjumlahan dan ada juga yang melihatnya dengan begitu rumit.

Orang melihat sesuatu tentunya dengan ilmu yang mereka dapatkan. Setiap orang berbeda-beda ilmu dan pengalaman yang mereka terima. Misalnya 2 pangkat 2 ditanyakan ke anak kelas satu pasti tidak bisa menjawabnya. Pasti setelah terus meningkatnya kelas dia akan bisa menjawabnya. Bahwa 2 pangkat 2 berasal dari 2 kali 2, dan 2 kali 2 berasal dari 2 ditambah 2. Itulah gunanya kita belajar penjumlahan.

Ada orang yang melihat sesuatu dengan sederhana ada juga yang begitu rumit. Itu tergantung orangnya. Sebegitu sederhanya masalah itu malah diremehkan dan dianggap tidak ada. Sebaliknya ada yang menganggapnya begitu rumit dan berharap bisa lari dari situ. Sebenarnya keduanya ingin masalah ini cepat terselesaikan karena jawabannya sudah ada. Tapi semuanya tidak akan terselesaikan jika kita tidak pernah mencoba. Jangan terus berkhayal. Stop Dreaming Start Action. Lakukan sesuatu, apakah akan ditambah, dikali atau dipangkat. Pasti akan ada jawabannya.

Berapa 1+1= ?

Sebuah pertanyaan matematika yang sangat mudah. Mungkin semua orang sudah tahu jawabannya. Tapi apakah seperti itu? Apakah jawabanmu sama seperti yang saya pikirkan? Jawabannya tidak cukup satu. Bukan ada dua. Tapi lebih dari itu.

1 + 1 = 2;
1 + 1 = 10;
1 + 1 = 11;
1 + 1 = 21;

Coba perhatikan hasil penjumlahan 1 + 1 di atas. Satu persoalan ada begitu banyak jawabannya. Mungkin kamu berpikir hanya satu jawan yang benar dan lainnya cuma akal-akalan. Sebenarnya semua jawabannya tidak ada yang salah. Itu bisa di buktikan.

1 + 1 = 2. Semua orang pasti sudah tahu. Anak TK pun sudah banyak yang tahu. Ini cuma penjumlahan biasa.Kalau tidak percaya silakan pakai kalkulator. Jadi tidak perlu diperpanjang lagi masalahnya.

1 + 1 = 10. Ini juga penjumlahan biasa tapi menggunakan bilangan Biner (1 dan 0). Kalau tidak percaya juga silakan pakai kalkulator. Bukan kalkulator kasir tapi kakulator lengkap dan memakai mode bin (binari) bukan dec (desimal).

1 + 1 = 11. Kalau ini tidak memakai kalkulator. Kali ini jangan melihat angka 1 sebagai sebuah bilangan tapi sebuah simbol. Pengganti bentuk lain. Jika dua buah simbol digabungkan maka tidak bisa begitu saja menggantinya dengan simbol yang lain. Jadi jika kedua simbolnya digabunngkan maka hasilnya adalah 11.

1 + 1 = 21. Kalau kamu percaya sebelumnya hasilnya adalah 11 maka kamu juga harus percaya bahwa penjumlahan kali ini hasilnya adalah 21. Karena 11 sebagai sebuah simbol bisa juga dikatakan dua kali 1 (21).

Mungkin kamu berpikir ini cuma akal-akalan tapi inilah kenyataannya. Kita selalu dikekang oleh aturan matematika itu sendiri. Matematika adalah ilmu pasti. Jawabannya satu dan pasti (akan) ada. Itulah yang terjadi dengan kehidupan kita sekarang ini. Tapi di sini kita tidak sekedar berhitung. Banyak hikmah yang bisa kita petik dari masalah matematika diatas.

Dari satu persoalan ada begitu banyak jawaban yang bisa diberikan dan semuanya tidak ada yang salah dan bisa dibuktikan. Artinya kita tidak boleh terlalu fanatik dengan sebuah kebenaran. Biarpun itu dengan segala pembuktian yang ada dan sudah diterima semua orang. Diajarkan sejak kecil bahwa jawabanya harus seperti ini.

Cobalah melihat dari sudut pandang yang berbeda. Apa yang kita lakukan tentunya tidak semua orang melihatnya sama dengan apa yang kita pikirkan dan rasakan.

Just do it. Pasti mereka akan merasakan ketulusanmu. Itu yang membuatmu istimewa. NB: Pesan manis untuk dia yang merasa nothing special di ultahnya.

Banyaklah berbuat dengan niat yang baik. Biarpun kamu dinilai berbeda. Karena ketulusanmu yang terbaik untukmu. Berhenti berkhayal. Stop dreaming Start Action. Semua persoalan di dunia ini sebenarnya sudah ada jawabannya. Kita tidak akan dibebani oleh masalah yang memang kita tidak sanggupi. Orang Indonesia suka sekali menyingkat-nyingkat kata. Mungkin agar lebih efisien dan juga gaya-gayaan. Terkadang frase yang sudang disingkat kembali disingkat lagi. Jadi tumpang tindih. Hilang makna aslinya.

Coba tutup mata kamu satu dan melihat dengan mata yang lain. Apa yang terjadi? kamu hanya melihat dunia ini dengan dua dimensi yaitu tinggi dan lebar.

Sekarang coba melihat dengan dua mata maka yang terlihat adalah tiga dimensi. Yaitu tinggi, lebar dan jauh atau jarak.

I have been hearing a lot of “they are only out to make the money” but…from a business standpoint do you agree with how they are running things?
for example…the 99 cents for the text messages. they aren’t having every vote via texting. they are having some online for free, but they saw the whole texting thing an opportunity to make a couple extra bucks which in any company would make sense.

I am a merchant account ISO. This is the 3rd time that this guy changed the signer, Tax ID and Address, and applied for a merchant account. When I found out that he was behind the business, it was too late. There had been excessive chargebacks. What he always does is that he charges customer’s credit cards and never ships products (ships some). When cardholders start disputing on the charges, he closes his bankaccount and processores have to cover the losses. It is very difficult to prove that he does it on purpose. He may have an excuse that his business went bad unexpectedly. He ships products internationally. His customers are all in his native country.(which is mine too) They can’t take any legal action since he is here. I found an online rip off report site over there. I have contacted Risk/Collection Dept. at processores since I found out that he (on Match List) is involved with the account. They are just interested in collecting his dept on his previous accounts( which is their job to do I guess) not stopping his from continuously doing it and creating more victems and causing more losses in the future. I want a criminal justice as credit fraud but I don’t know where I can get an advice. If you know any information about this kind of sencitive subject, please help me. We are putting up a website and want to accept online payment solutions, but everyone seems to want US bank accounts, which we don’t have (we have an Indian bank account with the State Bank of India). Circumstances have it such that I am down here in a tiny Sonoran Desert town in southern Arizona, over a hundred miles from Phoenix or Tucson, and I am looking for some constructive way to use some of my time and abilities.

I would like to create a forum where I can dialog with people who are looking for hope. Hope has saved me in desperate times and I am convinced that whoever offers the most hope, has the most authority, so I’d like to be about that business, if I can set up some kind of internet forum that can generate questions/ correspondence.

I fumble terribly with all the features online, so that’s why I am writing to Answers. Could use some good suggestions and guidance on creating a means to stay busy while at the same time, be of service and find a degree of fulfillment.

I am trying to succeed in a home based business but am having a hard time. Anyone I talk to who has completed an online advertising marketing campaign seems to chicken out when I call them. What can I do to change that enables people to decide that this is the way to go? I have listened to numerous training calls and they just do so much. I need help here. I have a business online for dog jewelry (it’s my uncles jewelry and it’s amazing and I’m just a seller of it) and well… I spent so long making the site, I have had it for 2 YEARS! but I’m getting no sales at all and I’ve put so much work into it and I’m hysterically crying because I don’t want to shut it down, but my parents don’t wanna spend money on it.

I’ve been trying to submit articles to ezinearticles.com but they keep making my submissions fail to be posted (it’s soo annoying)!! I just really need to get a sale or it’s gonna be shut down and I’m just so upset!

I am looking for free or low cost (less than 20.00) at home business opportunities. NO SCAMS PLEASE!!
I am looking for things that let me sell online and have home parties like Mary Kay and Papered Chef, stuff like that. I just can’t find the right thing or affordable thing.

We are a military family and as some might know money is really tight! So I am looking for opportunities to make some more money to help support my family. I would ask about at home online jobs but there are so many risks and scams out there that I am not willing to take the risk.

Without reading many reviews about people’s experiences with the company I bought two corsets from a company called Pink Label Corsets in MI for about 0. The product has not come after 4 months and all I get from them are excuses. I paid with paypal, but paypal only covers things for 45 days. Likewise my credit card can’t help. So what recourse do I have to get my money back or get the product. I have reported this to the BBB and a few other consumer protection agencies. I’m thinking about small claims court– but what state would I go with? I’m in NYC and the company is in MI.

Are there other options?

I know I might not get all of my money back– but my sense of fairness compels me to do something.

I have tried calling this company but their phone is disconnected– the owner, however is quite active on facebook and I got her to at least respond once by sending her a payment through paypal along with my not about how angry and frustrated I have become. She claimed that the product had already been started and she could not give me a refund. I said that was fine as long as it came within 7 business days.

What if that time passes and the product is still not here? What step should I take next?

I talk to this guy online a lot and he sounds really nice. we always send emails and text a lot. he also talks a lot about sex. well he wants to meet me and stay the night at a hotel he will be getting. I like him and I also want to stay friends with me. but since he talks about sex a lot do you think that’s all he wants and that’s why he wants ton meet me and spend time with him. I am 14 and he Is 21. he just turned 21 a week ago. he tells me If anything ever happens he will always be there for me. I did not tell my parents about him and about us possibly meeting. We’ll never truly know. For all we know, a top WWE guy/girl could be on here. I’d highly doubt they’d waste their time, yet again, it’s been said this era of wrestling has more people in the business that go online to see what’s written about them than ever before. Online jobs that require people to pay the companies before they can start working, are often portrayed as scams by the media due to the fact that jobs in the "real world" work in the opposite way. Jobs (In the real world) are free and the company pays you to work for them. But why is it that people have the same attitude that "this might be a scam" toward actual business opportunities where the person would ultimately be their own boss? People are skeptical of , , , fees which are often "commitment fees" to ensure that the person is actually serious and isn't one of the typical dead beats and/or tier kickers who join free programs and do absolutely nothing. Many of these opportunities are legit and franchise like if you were to start a brick and mortar franchise it wouldn't be free and you'd need to put initial and subsequent investment into it. It seems that alot of people want everything for free and if someone isn't free then it "must be a scam" at least in their minds but business is business and businesses exists to make money unless they are not for profit.

I made the mistake of filing my articles of organization and submitting to be a business in Nevada online. It cost over 0.

My business doesn’t operate in Nevada, it operates in Illinois and the state requires me to file a foreign entity LLC + show proof over other things all costing me a lot. In Illinois: 0 for LLC filing and have to also order a proof of good standing from the state in which you are a domestic LLC (). So, I’m paying 0 + the fees for Nevada (0+) when I’m better off just paying for Illinois.

That being said, I called SoS in Nevada and they won’t do anything about it. I was hoping there would be a 7-10 day wait to be approved in Nevada, but I discovered that applying online for my business I was instantly approved….so they said I have to dissolve the company which is another 0.

I at least want to send a letter to someone in Nevada to say they are being unfair. I filed for my company on Friday, July 1st and today is the first business day since than and they are saying I can’t cancel the filing. *I would have done it yesterday (Monday) but it was 4th of July and they were closed!*

I am about to graduate from college with a degree in nutrition, but recently decided that i want to pursue a culinary career. I eventually want to own my own restaurant and be an executive chef, but know very little about business. Now obviously i am planning on eventually going to culinary school and getting extensive culinary training, but also would like to learn a little bit about how to run a business as well. My question for some of you , esp. those who have gone through culinary school, and is working in the industry, is..

Does a Food service management (hospitality mgmt) program at a culinary school still train you fairly well (as far as in the culinary arts), or is it mainly a business program? Im trying to decide between that, or taking basically an associate degree program in culinary arts and possibly taking online classes in business on top of that (because i do want to work as a chef, rather than a manager)…OR, is it not worth all the hassle, and just try co-owning a partnership business? First time I heard about it being significant was when a big football match was only shown online. Now, a new global X factor show is going to be shown, on the internet ONLY, and as if that weren’t annoying enough, it’s going to be PAY-PER-VIEW!

This is ridiculous. I hate watching movies on my computer. It’s much nicer to sit in the living room on the couch with a bag of crisps and a beer, flicking through channels with the remote. And besides, I don’t have to worry so much about spilling things – if I spill a drink on my computer, POOF! £1000 down the drain. If I spill things on the couch, though, I just chuck the covers into the washing machine, easily as pie.

Why are people and businesses putting more and more shows online? I don’t want to spend all day at my computer, you know. It sucks.

I need a license to buy things wholesale online and re-sell them (also online), but I’m not sure about the license I need? I’ve been reading about it, but I’m not finding any clear answers.

If anyone knows where I should go to get the license, that would be a big plus. I think I’m supposed to get a State or County license at the local Courthouse and a City license at City Hall, but I’m really not 100% sure about this.
One of the articles I read said that I could just go to my City’s Website, download and print out the application, and mail it in, instead of having to go to the Courthouse or City Hall…
It’s all pretty confusing and seems to vary. I live in AL, if that makes a difference.

Hi, I developed an online business, which launched 18 months ago. The business earned raffly 50,000 bucks over that time. At first place I paid for online marketing like AdWords, but I stopped that. Still, the online service is getting new clients, who pay for a 6 months period of service. The majority of the clients is happy to prolong their membership. The operation costs reduce to the server hosting only which is ca 0 monthly. Now my question: I would like to sell the entire business including all source code and client contracts to a new owner. But I have no idea, what the reasonable purchase price could be and how to find a responsible and serious new owner for the business. Can you help?

The growth of the business heavily depends on the ability to attract more paying customers by smart advertising. The business deals directly with ebay auctions. So, any ebay user is a potential client of this service. After all investments that I made, the new owner will find a clean system, which he needs to grow as a marketing / sales person. Despite that, the buyer receives a stock of ca 1,000 customers who will make future payments all 6 months. My reason for the sale is the fact that I need to change my personal and business life. Hence I need a larger amount of money today, even if I can’t earn the fruits of my work in the future, which is only natural. It has nothing to do with my expectations in this particular business. I’d rather predict a nice future for it.
I was already thinking about selling to competitors, however I’m stuck with the purchase price I could suggest. I think, there are two components with the estimate – one is the stock of existing clients where some paid already (4 periods a in advance). This client base should have a specific value within the purchase price, I believe. The second component should be a revenue estimate that some skilled personcould achieve, when managing a working system. If I sold to a competitor, the system itself would have less value to him, since he already owns a system that looks exactly like this. So, I’m not sure, if the best value can be achieved with a person who can make money based on a flying project – by actually going out and getting more clients.

Hello. I would like to make six figures a year. I have two website ideas.

1. A website where users can sign up and list, buy, sell, and auction their websites and domain names. Website flipping is a huge business, and many people want an already made and established website. People with established websites sometimes like to sell their site and make cash. It is a marketplace for websites. I would make money by charging a small commission to the seller and by having ads on the website.

Pros- cool idea, they have already made scripts for
Cons- competing with flippa and site point and websitebroker which are already established.

2. Consultants is a huge business, however, people with online businesses and websites also need help with how they should run their company. This would be a website based around a unique points system. The person who needs help with their website would buy 10 tokens for a small fee per token in order to post a question about their site. They could then post a snapshot along with the URL and questions they have about marketing, revenue, etc. Other users could then answer the questions and give feedback. Once the post closes, the ten points are distributed as follows. If there are more than 5 people who answered, only the top 5 chosen by the question poster gets 1 point each. If there are more than two but less than five, top two get two points. If there is only one poster and he has a good answer, he gets five points. The remaining five or six points are mine. If no one posts on your question within a month, you get your refund or can use points again later. You can also trade in points for cash and for prizes with people with many points. At first when the site is in beta, if there is a automatic posting thing used by scammers, users can flag them and I would manually delete the accounts. After beta, we would install a spam free security system that detects and prevents spam. I would make money by selling points and ads on the site.

Pros- great new idea, money from different sources
Cons- startup costs are huge since I would have to hire a web design firm.

3. Sell wholesale products from doba on ebay.

People have been telling me in order to get rich, you have to start a business. So those are my business ideas. However, this year, I am being promoted to partner at my management consulting firm and will be making seven figures each year as partner. I would then go onto a fortune 500 media company like viacom, time Warner, or news corp, apply for a senior management/executive position and make multi millions each year. Is it worth even starting a business. Maybe with my millions, I could afford to start number 2 if you think it is a good idea? However, I don’t need a business to make me rich. I’ve already become rich living off of my six figure salary from my firm and soon to be million dollar salary.

I have had a bank account with Bank of America for over a year now. I had no problems with them before. Today I was in the store trying to buy some Christmas gifts, and my card was declined. Then I got back at home and I tried to log into online banking to check what is going on. Online banking showed me that there is no such account. So I called to customer service, they said that the account is about to be closed. Then I asked for a reason, they did not say so due to the fact that company regulations give them the “right” to withhold such key information. I asked about the funds if I can withdraw them tomorrow, I was told it will be mailed in a form of check (some day). I asked for names of representatives, they hide their names as well for “security purposes”. Like a month ago they also closed one of my business account, and they held my money for more than 2 months. So my question is if bank can hide their names, and refuse to tell me the reason. Also, what are my rights at this point?

Consumers report receiving automated message calls from a service calling itself “The Jobline” where you’re told they have jobs for you. It’s just a scam. If you call the number back, you will get charged per minute, according to messages left in online forums where people share information on telemarketing numbers. They seem to be using the number 976-4477 in different area codes. A scam targeting people already hard up for work and money, that’s pretty high on the Richter scale of sleaziness.

You should contact the Attorney General in your particular State, the Better Business Bureau and other government agencies about this scam.

Please watch your caller IDs so as NOT to get caught up in this mess.

I obtained an associates degree from a business school 25 years ago. I’ve been working 25 years as an accountant and am successful and make good money. I’m at a standstill though because I never received a bachelors in accounting. I’d like to obtain credits toward a bachelors by taking online courses. Will my credits from years ago be transferable? What about my job experience…will that get me some credits? How do I go about getting a degree from a college that will give me a “real” bachelors degree? I will be going to community college for the next two years for business administration. My community college also has a night school for adult learners where you can earn a Bachelor’s degree. The baccaulaureate program can consist of online and night courses.

I have been told by my advisor that I can attend the community college for three semesters and then begin attending the baccaulaureate program for one semester.

Then I could go into the Air National Guard and take online classes with the same school.

I have been told that if I would join the reserves, I would have more time to complete my degree

My question is, would the integrity of my college degree be coompromised because many of the courses would have been taken online?

I am starting a small errand business and am looking for ways to promote it. So far I am doing fliers in local businesses such as senior centers and daycares, as well as grocery stores, libraries, and on town bulletin boards. I am advertsing online with craigslist. I have also created a website and put the address on all the fliers.

I was thinking of putting fliers under peoples doors or on windsheilds at the local stores and mall but I have heard those have a low success rate because most people just throw them out.

I was thinking of also just walking up to people in the grocery store and telling them about my business but I dont know if that would be rude.

Any other ideas on how to get people to use my errand business? I just moved to a new area so I can’t really count on word of mouth because I don’t have any family or friends in the area.

You like most democrats, simply just do not understand that there is a difference between a preacher with a bible in his hand, or a charity worker with a basket in his hand, coming up to my door and asking me “Will you give?” and an government agent with a gun and a badge in his hand walking up to my door and saying “You WILL give.”

Conservatives give more to charity, there have been numerous studies out that support this:

Because I decided to educate myself and I followed the link what it basically said was that it compared to street charity earnings from a rural Republican district to a metropolitan Democrat district and the GOP district gave more thus proving that Repubs care more about the country and about individual citizens than Dems.
There was two basic flaws with this survey and if I didn’t live in a city and was not a Christian I wouldn’t have been savvy to them.
1- When you are in a city the person you are giving to is less likely to be using it for drugs or shady business and it’s a city and you can’t avoid that fact and that’s why most choose not to donate to people out on the street. If it were a Republican dominated metropolitan area I’m sure the response would have been similar
2- As a Christian, I often feel obligated to give to others because that’s the right thing to do and that’s what God wants me to do. However, there is a strong possibility that people could feel guilty and straddled about not giving because of their beliefs
Until those two issues are addressed formally, I do not take this experiment as fact. Your thoughts…

Vista premium vs. vista business?

okay, I am getting a laptop tomorrow and I have it narrowed down to two, identical except one have vista business and one has vista premium. I can get the one with business tomorrow at the store, but the one with premium is only available online at the moment. HP dv2220 vs. the HP dv2221. from what I see in teh additional multimedia software that comes on both computers I think that most of the things like photo and music stuff are provided with hp and 3rd party software bundled on the computers. I am not using it for business, but the security features sound apealing that come with business…however will I miss an premium features? like media center. etc. or will teh other bundled software make up for it. please help. thanks =)

Over the summer, I want to start an online business/company. I have some coding knowledge and I have a few ideas for the business. Some of the ideas are informational sites, and most are user interactive websites. My goal is to eventually make six or more figures a year. I love all of my ideas, but I’m not sure which to choose.

1. A website where users can submit original songs and other users can listen, rate, comment, share, and chat with other users. Useers can also create a profile page and place info on the page.

Revenue: selling ad space, possibly creating a pro membership.
How will it be made: php script from jam room.
Pros- bands need an organized way of promoting themselves.
Cons- purevolume.com already exists.

2. This would be a service. It would be online concierge or your own online butler. For people who don’t have time to schedule stuff, they would pay a monthly fee and a person would complete the action for you whenever you want except. Your butler serves you from 8 am to 10pm. I would start off by myself when the business gets started, and then will hire more people as the business grows.

Revenue: monthly fees
Pros: this could be a big hit and many busy executives would need this.
Cons- man labor may make this almost impossible if a lot people use this.

3. A debate website where users could create a debate, and other users could post comments and argue on why they think they agree with the statement, or disagree. Based on them saying they agree or not, thee comment will be placed under an agree column or disagree.

Revenue: selling ad space
How it will be made: script from prescripts.
Pros-there is no site that does this, and people love to express their opinion on topics.
Cons- no affiliate products to sell.

4. A website where people can list their gift cards for sale,trade,or auction and other people can buy the cards for an under worth price. So let’s say someone has an unwanted card to target for 5. They recieved it as a gift so they did not pay anything for it. They could easily sell the 125 card for 0 . A person wants the card, so they buy it for 0 . I take a 4% fee and the seller gets for a card he never wanted.

Revenue: selling ad space, charging small fee
How it will be made: marketplace script
Pros- cool site idea
Cons- lots of co,petition and established sites.

5. A website that has reviews, videos, articles on cell phones. I would have tons of content to bring in traffic. I would join verizon AT&T and sprints affiliate programs and sell their phones on my site.

Revenue: affiliate marketing, selling ad space.
How it is made- site builder
Pros- could bring in tons of revenue
Cons- competition cent, phone dog, phone arena, mobiledia, and it is not a user interactive website.

6. A website where people can sell,trade,auction, and buy websites. The person could post a snapshot, price, and info on the wewbsite, and anyone who wants it could buy it. I would take a small 4% fee.

Revenue: small fee, selling ad space
How it’s made- script
Pros- good idea
Cons- lots of competition

Those are my ideas. Which do you think is more profitable? Which should I do? Which could eventually make me six or more figures a year? Even if you don’t think any are good, which would you choose if you had to? Thanks!

I am currently a high school student looking into a career in Graphic Design. My mom mentioned creating an online business to help raise money for school – something I can do on the side and continue doing throughout college – while also improving my skills. I think this would be neat, however, I am stuck when it comes to ideas. I have a passion for marketing and advertising, but I also enjoy creating simple things people can use every day. Is there a way to incorporate both into a successful business? Any ideas to get this started? And finally, If and when I do make that business, how do I spread the word?

I am currently ridiculously miserable living in my hometown and would love the chance to move to Austin. I am currently enrolled at a university but am unable to transfer to a university in or near Austin because unfortunately I have done poorly and my GPA won’t be considered. My university offers online courses for my Business major. I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to leave my hometown and move to Austin, while still enrolled at my university online, pick up my GPA and then try to transfer into UT Austin?
I feel the need to leave and start new because I have no friends and no life where I currently live. An old and dear friend of mine has just decided to move to UT Austin this fall and I feel it is an opportunity for a fresh start. I live six hours away and have taken online courses before and have not had any trouble.

I remember using this site to “find” and research my undergraduate studies. Now when i go there, its all based on ONLINE SCHOOLS (like Kaplan, DeVry) and not Real schools anymore, and the “careers” have to do with these Online schools (business, legal, culinary etc.)

I met a guy online from the Middle East. He’s here on a visa that expires in like 4.5 months. When we first chatted he told me he has no interest in returning home, but plans to visit. We only communicate by phone because when we met online he lived near me, but shortly thereafter moved a few states away to be near family. He moved before we could meet in person.

He’s been the sweetest guy and we get along VERY well… He told me last night that his uncle had told him about a woman that would take ,000 payments from a guy that wants to stay in the country. He said in his country it was expected of a guy to give the girl’s family a dowery, which he couldn’t afford–so he’s still single. I explained that not only is that illegal in the US, but it’s a business arrangement, not a “marriage”. He said he wants to get married and actually have a “marriage” and a ton of kids to go along with it. He also lets it be known (as often as possible) how much he adores me and has even started calling me “Habibi” (i think that’s how it’s spelled) whereas he used to only call me by my first name.

Before he left my state, he asked if we continue to like each other would I be open to marrying him… I do like him, but am concerned. He wants to stay in the US… and wants to be married.

Could his interest in me be more green card related or does he sound like he’s genuinly looking for a wife?

I’m also VERY Christian which he knows.
He’s 30 and I’m 31. Him asking me about marriage so soon is what has me concerned… but again, he didn’t ask me to marry him tomorrow. I guess he doesn’t want to waste time pursuing someone that has no interest in marriage or marrying him! …But I agree it’s a bit early to be discussing marriage.
LOL! Oh cool… I’d go from being a friend to a wife, that is if I marry him.

I’ve been teaching him about American girls and way of life and he tries to show me the Middle East and Islam from his point of view. I suppose courtship and engagment will have to be one of our many “lessons”… LOL!
He knows I’m (back) in college, so I could tell him I’d rather finish school before marrying. But then again he doesn’t understand why American women work instead of being home with their families. I’d make ,000 a yr fresh out of college… more than I’m sure he’d be able to make without a degree…

I originally went to a Mary Kay party back in December to take one for the team. (My fiance hangs out with a friend who is friend’s with her husband. They aren’t close, and quite frankly my fiance can’t stand the husband, but I thought it would be a nice thing to do.) I had no intent of buying anything or becoming a “customer of Mary Kay” (aka, working for them). In the end I did decide to order some product and give it a go. About a month later, I was invited to a “get together”, which was actually the promotion of my consultant’s person above her. It was more like Mary Kay church, where people were witnessing to how fabulous working for Mary Kay is. I considered it but spoke with my consultant and told her the timing was not right. ( I am doing work toward my master’s degree and planning a wedding, plus I teach full time. Sure the extra money would be nice but I am *not interested*). Another month passed and I was interested in scheduling another appointment with her to discuss a color palette for makeup. (I am clueless with that sort of thing.) This is where things start to get hairy, and in my opinion, boundaries were stepped on. She told me she had a goal to meet by a certain date and that she *needed* me to bring two girls to a party, and she’d *prefer* I not reschedule. I felt she was being subtly pushy, making it *my* job to fulfill her goal. Plus, I had been to one of those parties already. I did not want to hear the schpiel for the third time about how I am a great candidate to work for Mary Kay. Also, I had already referred her to all of the women who I thought would be interested. My other friends would HATE going to one of those things, esp. when they really can’t afford to invest in the products. (I don’t care if I get “free stuff” for bringing them….besides, to me that feels like I’m using my friends, plain and simple.) Oh, and in the end of the converation, she throws in a “You’re awesome! I love you!”. 1.) The only reason she thinks I”m awesome is because I’m bringing her money. 2) The “I love you” is pretentious. We are not friends. This is strictly a business relationship, and I felt even more used after she threw that line at me. The more I thought about her attitude, the more it infuriated me. In the end, I cancelled my appointment and told her I had no intentions of rescheduling. Really, I would have been quite content to have a one on one with her….but at that point, I felt I did not have the tolerance for it. I figured if she asked why, I’d explain. She has contacted me twice since then to ask if “everything is okay, and she hopes it is something she didn’t do.” Part of me feels responsible for informing her, and part of me feels like I should just leave it and let it be. Why get more involved than I need to?

Also, while I”m on a Mary Kay rant, I really do like the product I’m using. Is there a generic “Mary Kay” online store I can buy it from, or do I have to find a consultant and join this crazy circus?

Hello- I am a single mom with 4 daughters (my oldest is my foster daughter who is 16, and I have a 16, 14, and 8 year old as well). I was laid off from my job as a Sr. Loan Processor and have been looking non-stop for work. I do get 500 child support and 500 foster support, but my rent is 1650.00 and my bills are stacking up! I have been going to school full time at ashford university (online) and am trying to get a BA in business managmnet to ensure a better job in the future. I am so stressed trying to come up with money to pay my rent and for gas to drive the kids to school and food for these girls, that I have no idea how I will be able to get the kids anything they need, much less Christmas presents! I am not able to get unemployment because i was 1099′d and can not get cash aid or food stamps because my support is so high. Luckily, I had some savings that was able to help with my rent and now it is all gone. I have negative 19.00 in my bank account and less than a dollar to my name. I have used everything (mostly on my gas and food). I have asked my church for help with Christmas, but I am not sure what they will do. I have been selling misc items on craigslist and don’t have much more to sell! I will be getting my support on the first and will sell anything I can to come up with the rest of my rent, if possible. I have an interview set up for next week for a processing job, and a couple interviews making min wage. I am really praying for the processing job because that would pay my bills – but anything would be better than nothing. I know that when I get a job it will take me several paychecks to catch up on my utilities (that are all behind), my car payments (that are 2 months behind), my car insurance (that has now lapsed), etc, and I know there is no way I will have any money to buy presents for the girls! I am in Southern Orange County and willing to babysit, clean, run erronds, shop, organize, wrap presents, or do any type of office work for money or presents for my girls. If you know of a job I can do for you or someone, or know of a good possition in a company please let me know. I have been doing home loans and processing them for 7 years. I am also a notary public. My girls really need and want for Christmas- shampoos, razors, socks, shoes, clothes, make-up, and Jackets. Also, if anyone has any ideas of a program that can help me please let me know. I am researching opening a small baby related retail store online, however cannot get any info on what inventory will cost me because wholesalers will only deal with established business and have a month long waiting period.

I am getting discouraged, but still want to try. I have no idea how much money I will need. I was hoping to start for under 00, but wonder if that is too little to start a store with.

Any ideas/advice? Also Ebay is out because the wholesalers don’t consider the estores real stores.

I am 23 years old, 24 in September. I have been a complete introvert since I was about 17. I have no friends, I have no social life, I have never had a girl friend before.

I am busy studying for a business degree but I failed the first year because of a severe addiction to online gaming. I did almost no studying at all. I didn’t even put any effort at all into my accounting subject and failed to show up half the accounting exams during the year.

It’s not that I was planning to fail or didn’t intend to get serious about studying. No matter how much I try, I cannot get myself to stop this online gaming habit. It’s all I do from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed, which is usually about 02H00 in the morning.

I have been addicted to gaming since I was 7 years old when my parents bought me my first nintendo gaming console. I have spent most of my life doing this sort of thing ever since. Nowadays it is competitive gaming on games like dota, COH, bf2, COD4, M2TW, etc. It just never ends and I don’t know how to stop.

I still live at home and I am completely dependent on my parents. They do everything for me. I have never worked a day in my life. I have had my license for 3 and a half years but I have never even driven on the highway independently.

My parents are concerned about me but they don’t know what to do themselves. I have been to countless psychologists and psychiastrists. None of them help at all. I guess I have never really been completely honest with them because I am too embarrassed of what or who I really am.

I am the oldest of 3 in my family and as you can imagine, I am not a very good role model for my younger brothers. I feel sometimes like they look down on me.

I am extremely embarrassed of myself because of what I mentioned. I even have tremendous difficulty looking people in the eye. I am a grown man but I don’t feel like it at all. I know that I don’t look weird, strange, ugly or anything but I still feel extremely awkward in any sort of social or public situation. I find it very hard to go to a public place because I feel to self conscious. I feel like I just want to curl up into a ball and die in shame and self pity. The only comfort I get is when I feel sorry for myself. I am not at all happy with my life and feel that things would be better off if I had never been born.

I have often contemplated suicide but I am afraid of what might be on the other side. I have a christian background and have told to believe that people who commit suicide go to hell. I don’t know what to believe anymore. I am so confused.

I built up so much anger over the years and I don’t know how to express it. I am angry with the world, with my parents and frustrated with myself. I don’t know what is wrong with me. But I know that there is something seriously wrong. But I don’t know what to do. I feel it is too late anyway and sometimes I don’t think there is any point in trying.
Please be honest and don’t try to tell what you think I would want to hear.
Girls have taken interest in me before. It is so frustrating because I haven’t got a clue how to relate to other people. In their eyes I must just seem that I am not interested and that I am trying to ignore them. In reality, it is my own form of defense against my embarrassment.
I played club rugby for 2 years but quit because the pressure to socialize was too great on me. I didn’t know how to relate to the other guys. I barely ever said anything. It was a huge effort every time I had to say something and very draining on me. So I quit.

There are over 700 businesses that have a website in my area. I was thinking about offering free web directory listings and profiles to new and existing businesses in exchange for word of mouth advertising. I also have 3 small newspaper publishers and 1 radio station who will promote my site at no cost in exchange of services. Unlike other advertising methods, the public can get a detailed first look about a business and the services it offers.

Revenue will be generated from businesses that have proven to be successful over the phone or will benefit the most from online advertising. I believe these services will work since it is a convenient way for people to find what they are looking for in today’s busy schedule: florists, gift shops, gift certificates from local vendors(ex. dining, golf shops, day spas).

I am American going to teach ESL in Guangzhou. I have a few questions about it…

1) What is the best way of paying a student loan back home, Western Union to family or Chinese bank transfer to American bank and pay online? I hear bank transfers are hard to get done.

2) What kind of adapter for my laptop modem if needed? ADSL seems like what I would get, or could afford.

3) Base salary is 7000 RMB + 1000 housing allowance, nothing provided and have to send 1400 RMB for the student loan. So I will have 6600 RMB to live minus taxes. The school offers free lunch and dinner to teachers if working at the facility. I might be able to defer my loan with my savings for 6 months with a prepayment. Is that enough to live well, do a trip to the Great Wall, maybe see Shanghai/Hong Kong?

4) I don’t get paid until the 1st of the 2nd month, how much money to get from the ATM for 1st month? I do not know my rent but the apartment will be furnished single bedroom and shown to me by the school.

5) Which is the best bank to do business with when I set up my account? Will it be hard for me to close it when I am ready to leave?

So the story goes like this: I dated this Muslim guy for a few months from march this year and he left after to go on a business trip. That trip was supposed to be for 3 months but it turned into 6 months and he told me during that time that he was going for an arranged marriage. Of course I was hurt when I heard the news and my feelings were still there for him, like in all that time that he was absent. It took time to let go and still be his friend chatting on the phone weekly (while he was out there – avoiding the arranged marriage talk etc). Everything still felt good with him, and i still saw him like a soul mate. But I came to know in October last month that he lied to me about stuff. I did something behind his back to find out these lies and I had to do it. He told me never to speak to any of his friends or family early in our relationship (and he never even introduced me to any family, just kept me distant and on the quiet. I believed he did that cos he's family was strict but anyway I did something. I became a ‘fake’ or ‘stranger’ who became friends with this ‘J’ – his brother, on an online social site i.e. myspace. I made up a whole identity on this social site just to talk with J (and I knew this was his brother because my ex had already pointed him out to me as well as other siblings etc long ago) but yea I talked with J to find out stuff that I was longing to know. I found out that this ex of mine didn't go on any business trip; instead he moved out of london with his wife and 2 kids of 1 and 4 yrs old. I found out also that he lied about his age also. this ex of mine said he was 27 (which is a bit older then me) but as ive come to know… he's actually 35yr old. Anyway in all that time calling me on private no. he made out like he was out there in india doing business and preparing for his enagement etc. just wanted to further away from me as you can see.
and in was in shock was when i learnt all this. everything made sense, the things i’d seen, knew – just came together with all that info.

Anyway, about 3-4 weeks ago I actually spoke to his brother J on the phone, for the first time with my new identity (and with my real voice) and with an old number of mine. He was asking for me to meet and to continue our chats even on families, seeing as that was my favourite topic! =) (well it had to be in that case; with me asking all the questions I did about his family). I was like I don't know when we;ll meet, we'll see.

So after learning the truth about my ex, I wrote an email to him – my ex (as me of course) I wrote a calm and straight to the point email, making it serious too and sent it to all 5 email accounts that he has. I said of how I know everything about his life, of how i know all this through my friend being friends with brother J (through the identity i made up). basically i nailed all the points and pieces of info I knew about him, from his wife to kids etc. shocker email.

I even stated to him how he just used me that whole time and how he might not be happy with his wife and sex life, so had girls like me in his life (including his previous ex’s) for fun and sex.

Anyway, I haven't heard anything from him/my ex, after sending that email. There's been no more phone calls like before (maybe he feels scared to talk with me) I’d like have an apology or at least would like TO DO something more that will shock ;d and scare.

and by the way I have time and energy to waste here and i do want to continue to do damage till I get that apology (even though I've pretty much said bye in the email!) i want him to come forward and confess everything.

I could leave all this but I have an opportunity to continue here using his bro

What more can i do? What else? this ex needs something more, i want the shit to be deeper then it is.

i did get hurt over knowing about him but i feel so determined TO DO something.

I have read that they are a scam and at risk for losing their accreditation . However, after doing some research, they are accredited by The Higher Learning Commission North Central Association and are backed by the better business bureau. John Mackey – the founder, CEO and marketing genius behind Whole Foods – finds himself in an organic, unsustainable mess with his carefully cultivated affluent, liberal customer base after penning an Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal titled, “The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare.”

For starters, Mr. Mackey opens with a line from known-liberal-allergen Margaret Thatcher that features the dreaded “S” word: “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” Then he goes on to provide eight sensible free-market solutions gleaned from his company’s well-regarded employee health care program.

But Mr. Mackey missed the key ingredient of modern liberalism: intolerance to the ideas of nonliberals. And this miscalculation may prove to be devastating to his multibillion-dollar business.

Everywhere one looks these days, the intolerance of self-avowed liberals is on display. Especially since Mr. Obama came to power.

The purportedly open-minded and empathic among us who now run everything – save for NASCAR and Nashville – openly wage war against those who dare disagree.

Witness Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi’s joint-penned editorial in USA Today in which the House’s two top Democrats describe those publicly questioning Mr. Obama’s proposed health care system overhaul as “un-American.”

One need not go back too far in the political time machine to recall a time when the same people were claiming that the term “un-American” was being tossed at liberals for opposing the Iraq war, and that Republicans were stifling free speech.

Examples were rarely, if ever, given. It just was. And we were told this was a very, very bad thing.

The Dixie Chicks brilliantly used this sob line to become a Rolling Stone magazine cover staple, a blue-state crossover and an international cause celebre. A chorus line of would-be liberal celebrity martyrs took a similar marketing tack proclaiming McCarthyism was again afoot – as conservative Hollywood kept its collective mouth shut knowing that support for President Bush or the war was an instant career-killer.

Yet amid the cries of “dissent is patriotic” – a phrase seen on the bumper stickers of cars in the Whole Foods parking lot – the antiwar movement grew and grew, unfettered by the war’s supporters or by the party in power.

As the Hollywood Left churned out antiwar film screeds, it was creating a narrative of its victimhood as it victimized Mr. Bush and his administration with the false accusation that dissenters were being persecuted. But now that they are in power, Democrats are brazenly wielding punitive weaponry against dissenting Americans and are using the power of the state to shut up citizens.

The Democratic leadership – and its friends in the mainstream media – seem determined to brand opposition to the president’s legislative agenda as illegitimate, even racist in origin. Individuals and grass-roots organizations are helping the statists’ cause by advocating boycotts and other means of stifling dissent.

The strategy is clear: Intimidate people from speaking up or from attending public protests by telegraphing that anyone can be made a demon for standing up and exercising basic, constitutional rights.

The business is a small online one and the name is not ‘official’, ie. I have never legally established it so it is not ‘legally’ attached to my personal name (except with PayPal). One of my friends owns a business, a call center. Another friend of ours, more like the younger brother of a good friend of ours was hired by him to handle some administrative/managerial work since he has experience in the industry. Lets call the owner Wes and the other guy Ryan.

I know for a fact that on a couple occasions recently Ryan would lie to Wes about not coming in for work because he’s off-site doingsomething. He’d be online playing world of warcraft. I know because I see him.

I’ve recently registered on skype only for business. My boss (young boss – 3 years older than me) added me and he made me add another foreign buisness contact. This foreigner usually trains me online and I usually talk to him only to ask about business stuff.
Now my boss knows that I have no other contacts on Skype and that I only created it for business. Should I always appear online even if there’s no work to do on skype with the foreign guy and the boss knows that?

When businesses used mostly paper apps, you had the opportunity to discuss them (and your resume) right there on the spot. Now, everybody it seems wants you to fill out the app at home, online, and just wait for a phone call. If I call a business after filling out the application, or go back there to talk to a manager, they just say the same thing: “we’ll call you.”

What can I do further to get an interview? Am I doing anything wrong? I’m not a teenager. I’m an out of work 32 year old mother of 3, married and with a college degree. I need a job desperately, esp. since my husband is a disabled vet who can’t work anymore. Thanks for any advice or words of wisdom.

In september i have the choice to go to uni to do a 4 year hospitality management course, but i was thinking exprience seems to go a long way. I’m not seeking to begin an online small business which may replace my current job, but certainly a viable way to produce a 2ndary income online. I’m still trying to read up on various types of premises that will lead to viability, and I believe I will be more sucessful if I can contribute from my own skills that I’ll develop and make that the focus of my online enterprise which may grow into a small business. My biggest question is, where can I begin to learn about finding a type of degree that relates to my interest and which can be applied in growing my enterprise?

I’m focusing on keeping it online because of the low startup costs in contrast to buying and storing physical property. Are there software products which I focus on this and could be used as a platform to jump start making money after the initial investment of buying them? I haven’t found anything legitimate, only online scams. Also, even though I’m willing to invest time, which I hear is required, I currently hold a job and until I’m viable enough to quit I’m willing to obtain software relating to this if it’ll prevent me from becoming too torn between my job and my enterprise.

2 Years ago i started an online company which became one of the top websites in that industry within a matter of months. Since then i have been going to school full time and I almost have my AA in business administration. I have put the business on the side and have been working on school to finish my degree, now that i almost have the AA, im not sure if i should transfer or should i keep working on my business. If i were to work on the business full time i could easily turn it into a multimillion dollar business. Everyone that i talk to says i should get the 4 year degree. Even with taking 1-2 classes a quarter its hard to work on the business at the same time. I never planned on using the 4 year degree to get a job anyway, all i was going to use it for was to get the knowledge because ive already helped start a business which became successful when i was 18 and i worked there for 4 years. I feel like if i finish the degree i could be wasting my time and losing alot of money.
I was definately going to finish the AA. I was just wondering if i should try and transfer. I have to take extra classes to transfer. If i were to finish with the AA and then quit school, its kinda hard to go back later on. People ive talked to who have done that have had a hard time going back to school 5 years later. Im sure it can be done, but it would end up being harder later on. So maybe i should just transfer and take one class a quarter.

Private profiles with personal information, pictures of minor age children, and such have been stolen from MySpace and copied to myspaceprofiles.org which is a “TEEN DATING SITE” according to an article I found through google a guy who calls himself Preeti is the author this is his email address preeti.1206@gmail.com. Under the Whois domain registration site it is showing the domain registered to UK, India and Beverly Hills CA. I tried to call the phone numbers to the CA. address and there all fax machine numbers. My niece who is 15 snuck a myspace profile she was not allowed BUT it happened. They phished her account and listed the profile with pictures and all on their dating siting site. We have sent over 200 emails followed their steps to remove the profile and we get no response whats so ever. This is happening to all ages. YES they should not be on MySpace I agree ok. BUT when you veiw their site it has ages 19 yrs to 80 yrs and 19 yrs and under tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssssssssss of children under the age of 18 THIS IS A DISGRACE. They are exploiting children under the age of 18 for dating all around the world, they are phishing accounts, stealing identities, using Copyrighted material such as trademarks logos pictures etc. Business name without the MySpace profile owner’s permission.

cleveland ohio, like a tech school or a community coll… i graduated from the top high school in ohio and with a 3.5 gpa… ok, what i want to know is what career is good to go into, im interested in almost anything that doesn’t involve complex math or science and also would like something that pays at least ,000. To this point i have been looking around at diff rent careers and i have found Human Resource manager, or business Administration,,, however i dont know which one will get me the best job or the highest salary, im also interested in law and law enforcement, in addition please let me know if you or someone you know attended online school and how it went,….. i also would like to know how the whole collage thing works out, what i mean is for example if i get a bacholers degree in bussiness administration how would i focus that degree on a human resource job. How to find a female online pen pal for friendship only?

First, let me give some background. I’m an adult male, and my best friends have nearly always been female. I’m not sure why, but I tend to relate better to women and find them easier to communicate with. Until about eight years ago, I had several very close female friends at any given time, but one by one, they all moved out of the area and we eventually lost touch. Because we started as in-person friends, the transition to a long distance friendship didn’t work very well.

I’ve been in a committed relationship for about 10 years, and as my friends moved away, it’s been difficult to make more, due to both a lack of time and a lack of opportunity because my significant other has very little interest in socializing with anyone. In the past two years or so, I’ve really started to miss that social interaction, especially the opportunity to talk to someone I can relate to well, and to hear a woman’s point of view from someone who I know and trust.

I finally started responding to women looking for email pals on the Craigslist “Strictly Platonic” section, and after many brief email exchanges that went nowhere, found someone who I could relate to. That was great for maybe six months, but then she dove headfirst into a home-based network marketing business (like Mary Kay but not), and ended up with no time to talk to anyone except to try to sell them her company’s product. So it was back to the drawing board, so to speak, but after another six months of responding to the appropriate Craigslist posts, I still hadn’t found anyone else with whom I seem to “click” as a friend, and finally gave up.

After all that, my question is really pretty simple. Other than the Craigslist “Strictly Platonic” section, does anyone have any idea where I might have a decent chance of finding female online pen pals with whom I might be compatible? I mean that only in a friendship sense, not a romantic or sexual one, so adult or dating type sites won’t be very helpful.

Things I am looking for aren’t available through Sysco and similar distributers. What is the best way to find food products for a new business? When I search online i never find any actual business’ just a bunch of ads and such.

Okay, so I’m 32 y/o, good-looking, good job, just now coming out of …?
three, four years of depression for a lot of different reasons. But since that time I’ve pretty been alone for most of the time. Consistently alone. Sure I’ve got a handful of good friends but, for the most part, I’m just now coming out of a self-created shell from some years back.

That being said…I managed to push a lot of good people away over the years and that’s what’s left me alone.

Now I want to meet new people. How do I do that? I could easily hang out with my old friends, but all they do is the same old sh!t. I could go online and start dating from match or yahoo, but I’ve done that – screamingly well might I add.

Now what? How do you meet new people when your life is fresh again? When your future looks bright and you want to share that with someone?

I’m not Christian, so church won’t cut it. I own my own business and won’t date employees.

I’m stumped. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Online fraud, how can I know if the website is legit and safe to buy from?

Some websites look fake, fraud and probably scam. I think those that say payment by T/T, Western Union and Moneygram only, they don’t take credit cards nothing that the government would find them. Do you think those websites are fake?

I just found “Reverse IP: 82 other sites hosted on this server”
So, they same people have at least 82 websites scamming money. Remember everyday they may get a dozen of members and scam them, visitors in the thousands. Now, it is impossible to tell how much money they are making but for a minimum is in the hundred thousand of dollars scams.

I’m trying to promote a website platform in my area. Please help me brainstorm some ideas for a sales letter?

There are over 700 businesses that have a website in my area. A local website platform will benefit area businesses by offering their services to the public.

The i-net offers a detailed first look about a business that phone books don’t offer. I am offering free profiles & website listings to new & exisiting businesses in exchange for word of mouth advertising. An agreement has also been reached w/3 local papers & a radio station to advertise my site in exchange for services instead of paying advertising expenses.

Income will be generated from participating businesses that can offer services in their area such as: delivering flowers & gift baskets, ordering gift certificates from local vendors (day spas, golf shops, restaurants), & looking at a menu before ordering your food online. Offering these services over the phone have proven to be successful in the past, & w/good marketing, the i-net will benefit these services through visualization.
